Jokes on Sweden I have taken all my parenting skills from Alfons Åbergs dad.
He’s dad also have strict rules that sometimes he wants to do his own things. Like watching tv, read the news paper and have a beer. Boundaries people !
I think the specific issue is that parents ignore their kids to use their phones, which they’re addicted to.
Stop ignoring your kids, people!
No, this is not the issue and the article expounds on that.
The tl;dr is that kids mirror their parents’ behaviors. If a parent spends multiple hours per day on their phone, the kid thinks that’s what they should do as well.
As another Lemmite mentioned, kids are learning behaviour from their parents.
Kind of, but primarily that the usage habits of parents shape those of the kids.
Rough translation of some of the (to me) salient content because I can’t be arsed to manually translate all of it.
Today I learned that FHM has an entire section on digital media and health. It looks like a really good resource for people.
It’s a fantastic ministry, I wish our politicians would fucking listen to them more often.
My kids can get kinda annoying and sometimes I need a break
Big props for encouraging parents to actually parent rather than expecting the government to do it for them
even if you don’t have children. Its really all about moderation. I don’t like smart phones but I can see why people use them. I don’t travel enough to have to use them to get information on the fly. I still throw the news on tv and use my laptop while at home. Main thing is interact with people when you have the opportunity and your family is around a lot. Moderation though. Give them private time but not to much. Spend time together to.
