There’s a whole spectrum of military superchuds like this; my favorite are the guys that will devote a spectacular amount of time to explaining how a Tiger (not even a Tiger II or a Panther, but a Tiger) could 1v1 an M1 Abrams.

A Tiger could get a lucky shot off and take out an Abrams I suppose, but otherwise, yeah, probably not.

Unless the Tiger manages a perfect side/rear shot at close range, that 88mm gun isn’t even going to penetrate the Abrams’ armor.

Most likely, the Abrams would annihilate it from several kilometers away without the Tiger even knowing. Modern optics, thermals, and ballistic computers are no joke.

operational maneuvers

I’m dying.

Not like them southern boys standing in Sherman’s way

Gotta be trolling.

I wish, but history nerds with an overt fixation on military history are very consistent in their behavior. That is to say there needs to be a word for their stereotype, because this is exactly the kind of shit I’d expect from them.

I mean if you’re supporting regimes that existing for a few short years decades/centuries ago before getting crushed by superior forces then you’re just kind of a loser by default.

Only if their cause is shitty. PARIS COMMUNE, MY LOVE

Such a cool little tidbit of history that doesn’t get the attention it deserves
