You know that nasty smell on the roads right as it starts raining? Yeah, that’s not only asphalt smell, that’s also tire dust, brakepad dust, exhaust particles, random oil/antifreeze/etc leaks, basically anything cars can inadvertently shed, and absolutely none of that is healthy for anyone.. 💀

Yeah, the title is funny. May? So far we thought it’s all good and tasty? 🤦‍♂️

Sometimes I can’t resist. Moment it starts raining I sprint to the highway to lick the roads, with an uncontrollable hunger.

Amateur hour over here. I set my cruise control, then lean out of my door and place my tongue on the pavement.

That’s called pica, and it’s an actual disorder

We all live in the coal mines.

Yeah, when it first rains after a hot dry summer you can see the white foam streaming down the streets 🤮

More and more of these studies are done with no measurable change in policy. Then I keep hearing all the “good news” about electric cars picking up more market share globally. Why the hell can’t we have more busses and trains instead?

When money drives policy in the U.S. we’re never going to put people’s health/safety first

If I smash a hammer on my finger it hurts.

Im curious if tree based rubber would have the same detrimental effects
