Oo, the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge! There’s still a rope bridge there, though it’s a lot less rickety in the modern era. Here’s a view of what you were walking over at the time:

I’m astonished at how much work already went into making the bridge, what with all the evenly-spaced slats and one half of a perfectly-functional rope railing… and then they just stopped at some point? Like, if you’ve already made ¾ of a perfectly safe and functional bridge, why not just finish the job?


That’s a NOPE bridge if I’ve ever seen one.


Definitely not safe for work.
