Oh, it’s actually a pre-Type 1, trials pre-production gun, really only visually differentiated from a Type-1 by the shape of the charging handle and the very end of the muzzle.
The next trial was dumping it a puddle of mud for a day, coming back , shaking it twice, and making sure it continues to work flawlessly.
