Thief and Thief II remain some of my most nostalgic PC games ever.
They really donโt make games like this anymore, and I put 100% of the blame on Half-Life. Before Half-Life, shooters were going all in on being โimmersive sims.โ Then Half-Life came out and showed you can use linear set pieces in a FPS to tell a mediocre story and people, for some reason, will absolutely love it.
Half-Life doesnโt deserve this slander.
Yes, it absolutely does. They donโt get to leave the series on a cliffhanger for nearly 20 years and not get called out. What happened to my little gnome dude after we launch that spaceship?!
