I popped on for the first time in a while and was blown away by the map overhaul. I’ve only been messing around in Rosewood so far and it’s like a whole new town. My go to base is the fire station there and they’ve done a glorious number on that building. It’s three floors now with doors to the roof areas already in place! Take out the stairs and get a generator on the roof and you’ve got a luxury safe house ready to go.
The new background is cool and I think it fits the game well. I already died once. TBH I haven’t noticed much change from the unstable, but I read that entire cities have been re-styled.
Actually, in a recent Zomboid news article, the devs say they are eyeing the latest release, Build 42.20 as being a potential stable release candidate. So it might be hitting stable later this year.
Yea that’s kinda how I feel as well, yea you could just run back to your corpse and then all you’d be losing is your stat progression. Which I admit can be a huge loss in itself, if you’ve put hundreds of hours into a long-play.
Do most people prefer to create a new character on an existing world, or do they just create a brand new world when their character dies?
I’ve always made a fresh world because I like the whole starting-fresh feeling. But curious what other players do.
At first glance on my phone I thought he was in front of a bowl or something, about to actually be sick. Had to zoom in to be sure which definition of “sick” you meant.
I prefer long playthroughs, but I’ll admit I’m not likely to go back to Zomboid until 42 hits stable. Mainly because while I loved 41, I’ve at this point done everything from clearing both malls to clearing the secret military base basement (in 42) and have just explored the entire map and done a bunch of personal challenge runs involving a bunch of mods.
I love this game, but want to just take a break and wait for 42 to hit stable and the mod ecosystem for 42 to stabilize. Then I’ll return for another long term playthrough.
That said, if you want to do a long run, I’d recommend staying in 41 for now.
They got lots of food, cigarettes, maps and large freezers for storing freezable food. My only issue is the windows and some are near roads and population centers but I’ve based at them a few times so not a bad base location
The time for living is at 12:00 to catch carpentry on the life and living channel, otherwise it’s survival comrade. Get a clean water source and a generator up and running, i prefer gas stations as initial bases for infinite gas.

Dying is learning in Project Zomboid.
I’ve died 3 times but because I made really bad decisions. But yeah some of the original towns got revamped.

Man I figgured it woulda hit stable by now. Me and the boys are waiting on it too. IV even got my own server ready to go, but I’m likewise tired of 41
how’s the gameplay with a controller vs keyboard?

It’s not him, it’s some winter looking guy with a gas mask that has a yellow tint iirc
new world. don’t want to feel cheap about it generally.
Are you thinking of HUNK from Resident Evil?

I’ve never played this game, but maybe you can get him a new poster to lift his spirits.
There’s a character that looks exactly like this dude but cannot remember from what. it’s also a zombie thing.
I ended up dying, not letting me send pics anymore but RIP. went to Brandenburg to stock up then died clearing the police station.
Strategy for the prison? Guns blazing? Molotov?
To the left is the buggout bag and supplies. most of the shelves have been replaced with magazines. I plan on hitting rosewood for the prison soon.
