So combining this with the generic drug tariffs of 100 - 200 percent is going to be great for those seniors who overwhelmingly got us this crap.

Enjoy getting what you voted MAGA!

MAGA: “Fox News says it’s the Democrats fault”

Voters 65+ basically broke even in 2024. It’s the 42-56-year olds who did this.

I didn’t blame boomers, or Gen-X. I wasn’t trying to imply it was the fault of any one generation. I said MAGA, which is all encompassing of anyone from any generation that voted R.

Well, only one segment of the population is eligible for Medicare and my comment points out that this segment didn’t vote for it at any appreciable split.

The point is to kill off seniors. To use the social security money for his family and his own pockets.

I really hope MAGAts have the life they deserve…

The changes are anticipated to happen in 2027 and enrollees will find out the new monthly cost later this fall, administration officials said.

I’m guessing “this fall” means November 4th.

This intentionally pushes more people to the Medicare Advantage scams plans.

It’s a handout to insurance companies. The worst ones. All under the banner of saving tax payer dollars.

Premiums might go down! (Nevermind your drug costs going up).

Premiums might go down!

They won’t. And if asked they’ll just say inflation like it’s a magical incantation.

My first thought as well. I did pharmacy claims support for a major pharmacy chain some years ago, and I didn’t know a whole lot about Medicare going into it, being a 20-something man who already realized Fox News was bullshit at the time. But from what I learned about Medicare “Advantage” plans, I could find very little compelling reason why they would be better than just plain ol’ part D.

If anything, it seemed like it was intended to separate elders from their money. Oh you’ve got the premium (more expensive) Medicare with an exclusive (more restrictive) formulary and doctors network. Like it’s specifically designed for slightly better off retirees who want to feel superior to the plebians with their socialist Medicare. That’s for the poors (more darker), just like public transit.

He’s getting ready for the midterm loss. With that he’ll have a leverage on a potential Democrat majority.

Hanlon’s razor, Trump edition: never attribute to cold and calculating self-interest what can be adequately explained by malice.

He’s going to declare martial law in August.
