It’s my belief given all the reports before the attempt (no bag checks, Trump staff quietly telling people to be careful) that while the attempt wasn’t planned by Trump, they knew it was likely coming and allowed him inside for the attention it would bring.
That seems likely, but honestly, at this point, I’m so burned out I don’t give a fuck one way or another. My only concern is how pathetic Trump has reacted, and my own disappointment that it didn’t succeed (or, in the case of the possibility of it being planned, didn’t go horribly wrong and kill Trump by accident).
