Encouragement, workout ideas, and motivation to get and stay fit in order to more effectively resist all of the wrongness in our world.
Rules:
- This is an expressly non-toxic space. Users are encouraged to help eachother shape their workouts, but you MUST NOT admonish others for having different fitness goals from your own. You also MUST NOT mask toxicity in the form of positive comments (aka toxic positivity). Everyone is on their own journey and has their own plans and goals. Be respectful and constructive at all times
- There will be a monthly challenge thread for users who want to motivate themselves with consensual challenges and competitions. Please be respectful of other people’s desires to engage or not engage in these friendly challenges.
- Please tag your posts reasonably with square brackets at the start of your post. Examples:
- [MOTIVATION]: for threads discussing motivators for working out, such as creating generational continuity by increasing fitness to be more present in their children’s lives, or for an upcoming march or protest
- [WORKOUT]: for posts celebrating a recently completed workout
- [ADVICE]: for threads from OPs looking for ideas and advice
- [MEAL]: for yummy yummy pictures of a health-oriented meal you put in your tummy
The only reserved tag is [CHALLENGE] which will be used for the monthly challenge thread.

This is an interesting concept. I like it. I don’t know that it’s for me (still struggling with disordered eating) but this is cool. I like anything that shows resistance to - gestures broadly at the world -
Rooting for you with struggling with disordered eating! ❤️
Thanks! It’s frustrating cause it’s not the “normal type.” Not that those are any easier it’s just, a lot of doctors and therapists don’t take ARFID seriously. (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) Because they treat it like you just don’t want to eat or you’re just “too picky.”
Nah bro, I’d love to not literally throw up in my mouth when a food has a weird texture or flavor. If I was just being picky, then if you left me in a situation where my options were to eat this food or starve, I’d eat the food. My patents tried this. After day 2 I passed out. Never ate the food. (Why yes, that does say a lot about their parenting)
Thank God I have an amazing supportive partner and I’ve actually been able to try new foods for the first time in years. I’ve had some major progress.
Lol probably more than you asked for with your very nice comment but, than you for letting me vent! ❤️
Oh shit, I had arfid as a kid and didn’t get diagnosed until I was an adult. Albeit not as severe of a case. I still have a strange and not entirely healthly all the time relationship with food, but I don’t struggle with breadth of diet at all these days and manage a decent weight ☺️
Sending lots of love, shitty doctors really make literally any health issue about a billion times worse 🥲
Sending love, I’m really proud of you for the progress you’re making!
Ah it’s nice when someone understands! I’m sorry you’ve been through it too! Yes the progress has been more in the last 2 years than probably my entire life so, moving in a great direction!
