Fedora 45 Atomic Desktops Look To Allow For Web-Based Remote Installations

upgrading to a newer release of fedora used to be so problematic that It made me switch to Debian because of its slower years long iterations seemed preferable to fedora’s months long iterations.

I stayed w Debian until I had stop using Etch and had to go through the entire effort of upgrading to a newer release again; but this time it was much worse that it ever was w fedora because I had almost a decades’ worth of tweaks and customizations to my system so I couldn’t remember all of them at migration time.

Parallelly w Etch, I was using mandrake and its iteration cadence placed it between fedora’s and Debian’s and its migrations weren’t entirely smooth either.

I understand why now it’s not possible, but at the time i wished there was a foss os that I could install once on my computer and it stayed there until the computer’s hardware died while staying perpetually up to date.

I’ve since then modified my behavior to make such migrations as painless as possible and I started using fedora 43 on a new cheapo computer so i’m excited to find out how much closer we’ve gotten to fulfilling my old wish. Lol

My inner teenager is also rolling his eyes at me in pity that my life at middle age has gotten so small that I’m excited about upgrading fedora on my laptop. Lmao

What problem is this trying to solve?

This is kinda awesome, I build my own isos and in a pinch this could be really useful if I need to reinstall but I don’t have time to finish it. Could finish the reinstall from my phone.
