This seems like good news for competition. It would be nice to see some upwards trends from Intel and AMD on the GPU side of things to help challenge Nvidia’s dominance.

Makes sense. Ryzen is better than Intel. So much so that I can’t say something like Core, because Intel got pounded so hard they had to change the name.
45% of CPUs on Windows are AMD != 45% of CPUs IN GAMING PCs on Windows are AMD
Most of the detected CPUs in the survey are likely Intel Notebooks.
CPU sales data in Germany at the start of the year indicated that 80-90% of sold CPUs were AMD.

Well, in gaming PC’s? Idk about that, myself.
Though, I think it’s plausible that intel gaming laptops are skewing it. Afaik Intel is favored by laptop manufacturers.
Too bad AMD is sitting on their ass, especially with GPUs. They should’ve pushed hard and got zen 5 out to compete with Intel’s latest. Intel is still doing the e-core plus performance cores, but their latest models are actually extremely competitive with zen 4, even on price.
So long as Intel has fixed their reliability issues, AMD really fucked themselves by not driving the swing in their favor home.
AMD is pivoting to ai instead of gpus.
China will take GPU market imo. https://www.lisuantech.com/product/gaming-graphics/lx-7g100
