it’s wild how much “you gotta watch out for those judeo-bolsheviks” i’m seeing on corporate social media. i understand that everything that’s old is new again, but i don’t understand how people who think they’re anti-genocide can fall in line with actual factual nazis conducting a different genocide.
every genocide is connected and the same. if you turn your eyes from one to focus on another you are ultimately complicit in both. that was the lesson of the armenian genocide leading into the holocaust, but we have a tendency as a species to ignore anything that isn’t the worst thing. slavery still exists but it’s not chattel slavery, an institution so unique it was called “the curious institution”? then it’s not so bad. today people are ignoring the genocides in latin america, sudan, and palestine because it’s not taking the form of industrialized death factories (yet) and they can only think in those terms now. and if someone’s paying attention they’re often only paying partial attention making them vulnerable to bullshit.
it makes me so angry. i’ve been fighting against genocide for 20 years now and now, when the terms of engagement should be as obvious as possible, still people turn their fucking heads and entrench themselves deeper into various forms of campism, bigotry, and intentional ignorance.
fuck every division amongst the working class. we are the great protectors of the land if we only could open our fucking eyes and see how we’re manipulated to hate eachother instead of realizing that the greatest power we have is the love of solidarity for eachother.
and fuck every attempt to assemble an ethnostate. fuck zionism. fuck white supremacy. not a single person on earth is free until the last slave draws their first free breath
