I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised how, when I re-read one of my novels for the first time, I find I really enjoy reading the story.

So much so, I end wondering did I really write that and thinking damn this guy's good.

As a non-writer (of fiction) my first thought was "surely it doesn't matter who the writer is" and took me a while to realize this wasn't a question about "who the writer is".

But yeah, kids can have very unique views. Some old music reviews I've written would definitely grind my gears today.
