The Energy Triangle deal for gas exploration between Cyprus and Israel comes to mind. Israel has some other issues with Turkey in Syria as well. Also this probably includes David Sling. Currently Greece has S-300 from Russia, which is just not going to be resupplied given what is going on and Patriot from the US, which has a massive wait list.
If you do not care about human rights, then this is actually pretty logical.

The money Greece pays to Israel will be used by Israel for Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. Greece should not buy stuff from war criminals. Not military equipment, not spy software, not even candy.

yeah cool. ostensible belief and actual fact are two different independent things. I can say “I believe russia is just trying to reunify lost confused russians” until im blue in the face and point to the world’s various nations supporting russia’s efforts and say “look at all these nations that agree with russia” too. But if I go and buy a 4 billion dollar defense system from russia, regardless of what I publicly claim to believe, I am actually helping to support a war of territorial expansion. Fuck your hypocrisy.

Kaja Kallas was on the Dialog list. Von der Leyen promised to buy huge amounts of energy from the US when she made the tariff deal. There won’t be an end to the transfers. Even if we get a European fighter, do we also get drone AI and killer satellites?

There is still a lot of tension between Greece and Turkey that occasionally leads to small incidents. Up until Trump started threatening to invade Greenland and Canada, a conflict between Greece and Turkey was one of the largest sources of uncertainty about how NATO would respond to an internal conflict.
They deserve each other. Greece has Balkan levels of brainless nationalism, and Turkey is no better, as well as aspiring to be more of a regional power.
