China has become a major source of new medicines and clinical research, reshaping the global pharmaceutical-industry landscape, Pfizer Chief International Commercial Officer Alexandre de Germay said at an event hosted by industry lobby group the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
“Today, 40% of all clinical studies in oncology in the world are in China,” de Germay said. “The volume of innovation that is coming out of biotech in China is just amazing.”

Kay, so maybe this is a sign that we shouldn’t be privatizing Healthcare? Cause that’s how I read this
China is spamming clinical studies. Doesn‘t mean they‘re all worth much. I wouldn‘t care too much about the opinion of a Pfizer executive anyway. They‘re probably just pressuring for fewer regulations or something.
They’ve been putting real money in China, outsourcing R&D for a few years now. Of course he wants handouts but that doesn’t mean he won’t take em and still outsource.
It smells of entitlement again.
Boo-hoo they are faster in developing stuff and that’s bad. Give us special treatment right now!
