India has been the second-largest buyer of Russian crude behind China since the Kremlin decided to invade Ukraine.

Before the war in 2021, Indian imports of Russian crude were around USD 1-2 billion annually, according to Comtrade, Now it’s above 50 billion.

Much of the oil they buy was going to Western Europe. Now it appears to either be staying in India or they’re increasing their purchasing to make up for gulf suppliers.

This war can only choke the world economy for so long. Israel must be brought to heel and made to back off.
