But isnt it established copyright doesnt apply AI creations? I get that wont stop a malicious fraudulent takedown request but still.

It should not be copyright-able, but I guess tech giants like Google which are so heavily invested in AI are not keen on upholding that part of the law.

YouTube’s copyright strike system doesn’t check for ownership. That’s up to the courts to determine. The DMCA only says they must do takedowns until a court sorts it.

The DMCA fucking sucks
