Any good couch co-op game recommendations?

Title. I’d like to play more with friends and family, and I’d like to do that IRL. It’s gotta be available on PC, though, I don’t own a console.

It takes two is amazing, but AFAIK only allows for two players.
Yes, only two players (hence the name), but a helluva game
And Split Fiction
Casual Games
More Difficult Games
Non-Cooperative Couch Games
Magicka and Magicka 2 are magic casting games that are absolutely hilarious and will have you freezing, soaking, burning, crushing and electrocuting your team mates all as you frantically try to combat enemies.
These are all I could recall for now and since I don’t know what type of games you prefer specifically I just dumped a list of the games that I enjoyed playing with my GF and friends recently. Hope it helps!
Overcooked 1 and 2
Yes! That is always my go to game with up to 4 players.
My boys and I played DuckGame an entire 3day weekend once. I set up 2 TVs so we could team up in Fortnite with a PS4 and a Switch, but honestly we played DuckGame more. I spent this summer with my 16yo playing Divinity Original Sin 2 coop split screen. It was fun until Act 3. Can’t recommend it, but ymmv.
Oh, when my kids were little we put a lot of time in Amazing Frog. And Minecraft, obv.
The Trine games are pretty fun with multiple players if I remember correctly
At least 1 and 2 are, I can’t speak for any past those as I haven’t played them.
Plus, in the remaster of 1 they have a setting so people can play duplicates of the characters, so no more “arguments” about who gets to be
spidermanthief.Heavenly Bodies.

Goat simulator 3
For real.
It has 4-player local split-screen drop-in co-op.
Good party games:
More intense coop:
I’ve heard good things about DuneCrawl, but I’ve never played it.
If you are looking for a horror movie type experience, Until Dawn and The Quarry are great. You pass the controller when the character changes, but they’re designed to be enjoyed by a group.
Gauntlet is great!
We’re currently playing Sunderfolk, it’s a great game so far, kids and grown ups (it’s got a bunch of reading and strategy, so it depends on the kid)
As someone else said, Jackbox games are plenty fun, much lighter, each party pack has 4-5 different games, and they go on sale often on steam. Look through the videos for each pack to get an idea of the games it comes with.
Sunderfolk is so good!
Death road to Canada is always my groups go to for a couch co-op session.
Terraria. Seriously. Do a blind play through without a wiki. Super duper fun. It can be short or hundreds of hours, depending on your style. Great for groups as well, as it requires a surprising amount of team work.
Depends on the game type you’re looking for. Ive enjoyed playing stardew valley with my friends. You can play side by side in person if you connect an extra controller. Alternately, if they go home and also have the game installed you can play internet coop from afar as well with the same save and same profile.
Overcooked 1 and 2
Cooking game they even most inept video gamers can enjoy.
If they are good enough, try Plate Up for a more difficult similar game.
If you don’t mind 2 player games, you could maybe swap after each team gets captured:
Pizza Possum
Fast paced and hilarious. Pretty short overall but it still takes a bit of time to collect all items.
Not co-op, but Unspottable is fun. It’s a casual couch multiplayer where you and your friends pretend to be bots while trying to punch each other.
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes? I love that game.
We played the crap.put of that game back when I had an Oculus rift. I assume there is a non-VR version (?), but having the defuser working in VR was a riot!
Another vote for Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.
If you like electronic dance music, Just Shapes and Beats.
If you liked Eye of the Beholder and wish there were a co-op Minecraft-visuals version, it’s Barony.
The absolute top 3 I can think of right now:
All 3 are 2D, funny, and great fun to play in a group.
What type of game are you looking for?
Unravel 2
Wobbly Life is decent especially if you have younger people playing.
You need a copy and a PC for each person but I’ve been playing Slay the Spire 2 with my kids as a couch co-op game and it’s good
Boomerang Fu
Galaxy Forces V2

Has a coop, cargo transport mode.
I tried Ember Knights the other day with my friend. It was fun.
Blazing Beaks is a fun little twin stick shooter rogue like that my kid & I had a blast with.
There’s a fun risk/reward mechanic that lets you temporarily make things harder so you can be more powerful later.

Free Shooter game with weapon upgrades, great fun with a group, once you get used to it.
Like Quake merged with DukeNukem
Co-op penis stream! 😊 Played this one a few times, myself. 😅
