Mouse doodle
I've decided to put some effort into learning how to draw. I am enamored with the idea of painting with light, so I got me a black notebook and white gel pens. This is a doodle I made to try the kit out.

At first I thought this was a 3d printer with layer lines based on the colors. I was having a real, “Jesus on a piece of toast,” moment before seeing which community this was. Nice art, I like it.
Christ on a cracker!
Yessir, I like it. 🐴
Really fun style. Didn’t quite understand what I was looking at at first as this looks a lot like a failed first layer of a 3D print.
Then I saw the mouse and it made me smile.
It's meant as a room corner illuminated by a flashlight. I wanted to try a way to illuminate flat surfaces and showing a backlit subject. I have a more complex scene planned and wanted something smaller to test out the technique.
Very cool! Can’t wait to see more of your art :)
I love this style. Very satisfying.
Love it. Keep sharing!
I like it! I think if you made the floor lines horizontal to contrast with the walls it would pop more.
I thought about using different slants for each surface, but was afraid it'd get too busy. The other reason was that I was testing the technique for a more complex scene with a lot more shaded surfaces, and it would definitely look too busy there.

Either way very cool! Wish I could follow people on lemmy
It's one of the key reasons I created a Mastodon account. Otherwise I much prefer the threaded nature of Lemmy. @morgenman
