Bardella says he will attempt to bring down EU Commission over Mercosur deal | Euractiv

French far-right leader Jordan Bardella said late Thursday that he would again seek to bring down Ursula von der Leyen’s European Commission through a motion of censure over the EU-Mercosur trade deal.

The threat comes as a majority of EU countries are expected on Friday to back the long-delayed agreement with Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, despite fierce opposition in France, where farmers have taken to the streets.
