Japan relies on the region for about 95% of its crude oil and 11% of its liquefied natural gas imports, with roughly 70% and 6% respectively shipped through the Strait. The channel’s closure has triggered sharp spikes in fuel prices, hitting energy‑importing economies, such as Japan, the hardest.

The best time for Hydrogen adoption was 10 years ago.
The second best time is NOW.
Hydrogen is just an energy storage medium. Energy required to create and store it still has to come from somewhere else.
Energy which can come from Solar (*a Hydrogen Fusion reactor but far away), Wind and Nuclear.
Lithium Batteries aren’t a sovereign solution for most countries, OTOH Japan could be largely independent with Hydrogen.
