A few months ago, I caught a neighbour throwing out a huge collection of 40k and fantasy stuff. Naturally I asked them not to do that, but give it all to me.
Next in line, and deadline for this week was Belial. Pretty happy with the fabrics, not very happy with the fire, but at least he’s the only one who has that detail. Question is for next weeks deadline, all I have left primed is Lion or a Repulsor, might wanna extend those deadlines for each of them though :D
Not as happy with these as my other ones / characters. Had the idéa of each of them being from knightly houses as well as veterans, so that they would rep their house colours while still being a part of the army. Don’t think I’ll replicate it on the inner circle companions, but for my other 3 bladeguards I’ll need some cool colour / shield mark combos hehe.
Won my frist game! Still really unsure how to use meele mechs, my Princepts in a reaver failing to do much but die, but they couldnt take me out in time, and the diré wolfs voids kept blocking warlord weapons!
I’m looking for guardsmen that have a Roman theme. This is technically for warsurge so the base size and weapons don’t matter to much. Anyone know any model lines or conversion kits/3D prints that might work for a “spacr rome” theme?
This is where you really see the hard work and effort showing through, all the details and gradients start to pop and you finally feel like you’re doing things right.
Took a lot of thin layers, but it’s a pretty promising test. Used an Oyumaru mold and did thin layers of pretty loose sprue goo and once I had a solid layer added it more liberally. Wish I still had a usable old sanguinary guard power fist to try it out with.
I’m mostly into it for the hobby side of things, so it’s a good excuse to kitbash some over the top stuff that has actual rules I can use them with on the table.
Tried to make each of these guys more unique and represent their chapters but these are the push fit models from the DoW box so I’m limited on what I could do.
This chap was a nice change of pace after painting a rather complex squad. He’s simply known as “Lord of the Dredge” and is an early part of the #Mezgike #DredgeMarines range.
I’ve had this guy kicking around in my backlog for years and decided he’d be a good candidate for an Orksperiment. I wanted to see how well I could do using mostly contrast/speed paints. The only traditional paint is the undercoat, the red for the symbols, and a bright metallic dry brush over the metals. I’m really happy with how this turned out!
I’m looking for something new to read, and am curious which books others liked. Personally, I haven’t read many of the “main chronology” books, but I’ve enjoyed a lot of the one-offs.
